Some of the Film making conventions that a director might be able to use are:
Lighting: The director may take this into consideration because they will have to decide if the need it to be very light for a scene or very dark.
Actors: The director will need to take this into consideration because he will need to find out who will be best for for the part in the film.
Camera Distance: This will be needed to be took into consideration because they will need to know how close they need to be to the actors.
Cinematography: This will be needed to be looked at because the director will need to see how the image is being shot and is getting treated.
Transitions: This will be needed to be looked at because the director will want to see if he can use a Jump Cut or a Cut Away for a certain scene.
Music: The director will look at music because he may want to see what music is bet suited for in the film or at the start of the film.
Graphics: The director will look at the graphics because he will want to look at the poster to see what he wants in it like where the characters will stand and the background
